Sooke Teachers’ Association/STA Pro-D Conference: April 21, 2023

STA members are invited to attend the Sooke Teachers’ Association upcoming Pro-D Conference on Friday, April 21, 2023.  There are over 30 workshops – including virtual and in-person options. Surrey teachers are welcome to attend. The cost is free for STA Members. 

If you would like to attend, you will be required to take professional development leave.   

As per the Collective Agreement G21.5 teachers “In any one (1) school year, up to ten (10) days’ leave may be granted with pay deducted at cost of substitute to enable participation in appropriate and acceptable professional development programs. Such leave will not be arbitrarily denied.”.   

You would then need to apply for funds using either the Individual or Consolidated funds application. Please see below for how to apply and access Pro D funds.
