The BDS Committee supports the STA’s work in alignment with new policy related to the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement. This includes supporting BDS-compliant purchasing, investments, and advocacy, as well as the STA’s commitment to encouraging the BCTF to endorse and participate in the BDS movement.
The committee’s work is guided by the following:
THAT the STA:
- Endorse and participate in the Palestinian-led Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement;
- Commit to ensuring that goods purchased by the local using member funds are compliant with the BDS movement;
- Ensure that any current and future investments made by the STA be BDS-compliant; and
- Support calls for the BCTF to endorse and participate in the BDS movement.
