There are six non-instructional days in a school year. There are four teacher-directed Professional Development days in addition to the STA Convention in May, and one Admin-directed non-instructional day. Each member can access funding for Pro-D days through the STA.
Draft Applying for Funds
All STA members (contract teachers and TTOCs) are entitled to access Pro-D funds.
There are two ways Pro-D Applications are approved.
Individual Pro-D Application Form
Individual Pro-D Application Forms are approved by your in-school Pro-D Chair. Complete your Individual Pro-D Application form and submit to your in-school Pro-D Chair. It needs to be initially approved by your in-school Pro-D Chair at least 2 weeks prior to the event.
Other Pro-D Application Forms
The Pro-D Application Forms below require pre-Approval from the STA Pro-D Committee. Application forms will be reviewed by the STA Pro-D Committee on the 15th of every month.
