A night out on Friday, February 10, 2023, featuring local performance artists, a delightful dinner, door prizes, raffles, an amazing silent auction, a wine and beer bar and introducing our special guest speaker Rae-Anne Le Brun already sounds “worth it”. Now add to that the fact that all proceeds fund bursaries for Surrey grads facing financial challenges to attending post-secondary schools and our 4th annual Bright Futures for Surrey Youth banquet becomes a win-win!

You are invited to join the Bright Beginnings Foundation for an evening of entertainment, good food and fun at the Grand Taj Banquet Hall from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at 8388-128th St. in Surrey. Our ticket price is unchanged since 2019 at $55.00 per plate as we are doing as much as we can to push back on inflation.

The Bright Beginnings Foundation is local and aims to help Surrey’s most vulnerable graduates to pursue their career dreams.  Our aim is to give a helping hand to as many low-income students as possible. Our foundation provides tuition, student fees and educational materials to selected candidates to attend a college or university of their choosing. We encourage our recipients to help others in similar need in the future. Therefore, our hope is that our students not only will have an education to improve their lives, but also will grow to be responsible citizens wanting to help others.

Surrey teachers have always been at the heart of the Bright Beginnings Foundation. The STA Poverty Committee was instrumental in helping us get off the ground from the beginning in 2015. Thank you for giving teachers.

We hope to see you at the Bright Futures Banquet on Feb. 10 and at all our fundraisers, a shred-a-thon on April 15 and Sylvia’s Plant Sale on May 6, 2023. You can find out more at Brightbeginningsfoundation.ca.
