December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action to End Violence Against Women, reflecting the anniversary of the 1989 École Polytechnique Massacre, when 14 women were singled out for their gender and murdered.

The STA Status of Women Committee invites you to join them at a candlelight vigil taking place at Holland Park on Monday, December 6 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Speakers include members of NEVR, PSAC, NWDLC, and MLA Rachna Singh. This event is free, wheelchair accessible, and open to all. Please bring an item to donate to local women’s shelters.
